URBAN STREET JAM

The first annual Urban Street Jam was held on February 20, 2010. Produced by Phaze1 Entertainment and Stylz Dance Studio. This event was scheduled to be held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater at the Hidden Valley Park in Irvine. Due to the rainy weather, the venue was changed last minute to the Hilton Hotel Costa Mesa, Orange County.

Urban Street Jam consist of a major Hip Hop choreography dance competition including a junior division, varsity division, adult division, a BBoy battle competition, an All Stylz Battle competition including but not limited to jerkin, wackin, punkin, breakin, poppin, tuttin, and house that featured duos D-trix w/ Hoc of ABDC Quest Crew, Mike Song of ABDC Kaba Modern w Victor Kim of ABDC Quest Crew, Smart Mark of ABDC Phresh Crew w/ Lil-O of ABDC Phresh Crew and other duos, a viewers choice battle including the battle with FOX TV shows "So you think you can dance" and cast of Stomp the Yard 2 and Step it Up 3 Stephen "tWitch" Boss vs. Lando Wilkins founder and member of Boxcuttuhz from MTVs "Americas Best Dance Crew", ABDC Supreme Souls RJ KoolRaul vs. Geo of Kaba Modern. Live performances by Americas Best Dance Crew Beat Freaks, ABDC Boxcuttuhz, Kaba Modern Legacy, and so many more. Another highlight of Urban Street Jam was an urban street fashion show hosted by Kallusive Clothing.

Thousands of spectators lined up throughout the hotel and out the lobby door all the way down the main street awaiting to partake in this event
 
 

Over 800 dancers prepared theirselves for the competition. The hotel was filled to its maxiumum capacity. There were dancers throughout all the floors of the Hilton, practicing and awaiting their teams turn to perform in front of a panel of judges as they competed for the Urban Street Jam title. 
  



The hallways were filled with fashion vendors and tons of people observing and purchasing some of the hottest fashion gear in the market. There was so much going on, and so much energy produced by this annual Hip Hop community cultural event. The vibe at Urban Street Jam was phenominal!
